Virginia Partnership for Gaming and Health: Data Dashboard
The following charts represent an overview of the problem gambling support seeker population in Virginia based on our intake data beginning from January 1, 2026 to the present. The charts are updated continuously based on new intakes. Our intakes are conducted by VPGH staff CPRS and rely on the support seekers’ self-report. This dashboard provides a snapshot of problem gambling in Virginia, however, its scope is limited to those who seek out support from VPGH directly or are referred and complete an intake.
Gambling Measures
- Early Big Win - An early big win is a large win, subjective to the support seeker, during the beginning of their experience with gambling.1
- Problem gambling research has indicated that early big wins are common among individuals experiencing gambling harm and can prompt increase in gambling frequency and expense, as well as subsequent losses.2
- Binge - Episodic periods of uncontrolled, excessive, and compulsive gambling followed by periods where no gambling occurs.
- This data is based on self-reported information collected during VPGH intakes beginning on January 1, 2026 and includes only individuals seeking support for their own gambling.
